The Sacramento Realtist Association is a minority trade organization. Our local chapter was established in the early 1990s. We are aligned with CAREB and NAREB.
NAREB was formed back in 1947 because African-Americans were not allowed to join the real estate trade associations. We were created on the principal that all citizens have the right to equal housing opportunities, regardless of race, creed or color.
Professionals from all real estate related industries contribute to the success of our organization. We call ourselves "Realtist."
The Sacramento Realtist Association empowers the community through:
Education — Monthly Lunch & Learn series, homebuyer readiness programs, and professional development workshops open to members and the public.
Community Involvement — Annual Community Housing Fairs, scholarships, and programs connecting Sacramento residents with homeownership resources.
Legislative Involvement — Active advocacy for equitable housing policy and fair lending practices at the local, state, and national level.
Democracy in Housing — Increasing opportunity for homeownership through education, involvement, and advocacy.
The National Association of Real Estate Brokers was founded in 1947 — the nation's oldest and most historic minority real estate trade association. Sacramento Realtist Association is a proud local chapter, part of a 110-chapter national network committed to "Democracy in Housing."
